Warsaw and the Community Development Corporation In Brief:

Each year, an increasing number of events are held within the Central Business District inviting everyone to enjoy the area and its opportunities. Starting at Easter and continuing through Christmas, each month hosts a major draw event. At Easter, we see youngsters seeking treasures at the annual Easter egg hunt at Central Park. Other events that follow through the spring and summer months are: City of Lakes Festival (in 2004 to be named Sesquicentennial), Jazz/Blues Festival, Country Music Harvest Festival, August Family Carnival, and the newly planned Labor Day Picnic in the Park.

Fall provides ghoulish fun for kids of all ages as area businesses host the Halloween Spooktakular. Costumed children trick-or-treat the downtown merchants and participate in a costume parade on the courthouse lawn.

Christmas offers activities with something for everyone including the Festival of Trees at Key Bank and Hometown Holidays, while the celebration continues inside and outside the white-light silhouetted stores throughout the entire month.
