Downtown Events

The Warsaw Community Development Corporation sponsors and assists with many events throughout the year. These events are designed to draw people to the downtown area so that they can experience the beautifully renovated buildings, engaging shops, and exciting restaurants that decorate downtown Warsaw. Downtown Warsaw is an impressive blend of professional, commercial, and residential buildings, and the Warsaw Community Development Corporation is dedicated to the well-being of each and every one!

Check out our upcoming Downtown Warsaw Events! WCDC sponsors events for the whole family! So come to downtown Warsaw and enjoy the festivities.

Lincoln Highway/Downtown Days

Thanks to all of the volunteers and businesses that helped to support the August 2010 First Friday and Downtown Days Celebrations.

Special thanks are due to Bill Hartman, John Hall and all of the members of the local Mizpah Shrine Club for their efforts to help bring the Mizpah Shrine Parade to Warsaw.  Hundreds of people enjoyed the first Shrine Parade to hit the streets of Warsaw in more than 10 years.

Kudos to 1st Source Bank for stepping forward to organize a family bike ride event, Penguin Point and Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club for orchestrating the Big Wheel Race , K21 Health Foundation for sponsoring the 5K "Race Thru Town," and the KCV Cycling Club for hositng the Downtown Criterium.  Caudill's Tae Kwon Do, Provident Studios, Giverny Fitness, Son Shine Entertainment and Debra Collier's School of Dance all gave great performances.  Flyin Brian brought his helicopter downtown for everyone to enjoy and Dr. Fuson had an antique fire truck on display.

The City of Warsaw, Warsaw Parks and Recreation, Warsaw Police Department, Warsaw Street Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department provide manpower and support for every downtown event and we could not do downtown events without them.  Please be sure to afford them the respect and recognition that they deserve for making it possible for everyone to "put a little downtown in their life."

There were so many groups (thanks especially to the students, church groups and United Way agencies) that contributed to the success of all of the August events that it is impossible to mention all of them.  Suffice it to say that each contribution is appreciated.

Special Recognition is in Order for the Following Downtown Days Event Sponsors:

Crisscross Kosciusko: A Crossword Game for Shoppers

There is a $25 participation fee, but the benefits of all the advertising included with the promotion should far outweigh the initial cash outlay.  Details about the promotion and a committment forms are attached.
